This fireside conversation will help to demystify the term “Patent Pool” by explaining the different types of patent pools and demonstrate how they can be beneficial to your organization. Our panel will feature the perspectives of experts who have successfully built and worked with different types of patent pools – including IAC’s VP, IP Transactions & Analytics, Véronique Pagé.
During this informative session, we will discuss:
- The basics around the various types of patent pools
- The benefits that can be achieved through participation in different types of patent pools
- IAC’s patent collective and the strategy that goes into building it
What are Patent Pools?
Simply, they are a group of patent assets that are available to a set of parties whose objectives vary between risk mitigation, providing access to different technologies that can, in turn, help maximize profit streams, and provide access to licensing revenue. IAC has been building its own patent pool, which is essentially a patent fund, that is available to full members.
